Examples of Projects Started by Families in Memory of Children:
There are thousands of examples of projects initiated by families in memory of a child. We list here a just a few examples. Some have chosen to memorialize together with countering the darkness that surrounded their death. Others saw a need in the community and tried to fill it in memory of their child. Others have chosen ways that represent their child’s interests.

The Jonah Maccabee Foundation was founded in memory of Jonah Macabbee Dreskin. It helps young people build whole, healthy lives and runs a yearly memorial concert. https://www.jonahmac.org/
In memory of Gilad Shaar, each year families, schools, and institutions, bake cookies and cakes and share them with others.

Rachel’s Challenge – Started by a family in whose daughter was the first victim of the Columbine massacre. The goal is to combat bullying in schools which contributed to their daughter’s death.
